When my wife and I decided to reinvent our company, Hill Country Outfitters, the first principle was and is that our heavenly Father is the source of our well-being, and we decided whatever direction we were headed, our goal would be to honor Him in the ways we conduct our business.
The next goal was to decide who our customer really is. In other words, what is important to them? What are they passionate about? We determined that like ourselves, our customer is self-reliant and desires to become more self-sufficient. Our customers think for themselves, and they don’t necessarily follow the status quo. We believe our customers are concerned about improving their health and the health of their families and making better food choices. They think about drinking clean water and insist on using quality products that last and perform well, again and again.
We also believe our customers really enjoy outdoor adventures and delight in the awesomeness of harvesting from God’s pantry. Our customers are hunters and fisherman, hikers and campers, RVers and boaters and they care about proper stewardship of lands and water and clean air. Our customers are also farmers and ranchers. Some are home gardeners.
You see, they are the ones in the song, “Who can skin a buck and run a trot line. They own a rifle and a shot gun and a four-wheel drive.” They are country folks at heart, who can survive. This is why we want to only offer products and services that are carefully curated, perform exceptionally well and are reliable, especially when needed the most.
At Hill Country Outfitters, we are more than just an online store. Together we and our customers are a growing community of honorable people, who treat each other with respect.
Give us a try…we promise to treat you right.
